Simple - there isn’t one. FortifiedProtect is built on trust. Over the last 3 years our theft rate of bike lights has been incredibly low. We trusted our customers to be honest, and they trusted us to have their back and replace their lights in the highly unlikely event of a theft. FortifiedProtect is the next stage of this. If a bike is stolen, the steps are simple: 1. Call us. 2. We help you work with their local authorities to get a police report. 3. With police report in hand, our team works to locate your stolen bike. 4. If we can’t find it within 24 hours, we ship you a new bike for free. How much does FortifiedProtect cost after year 1?
FortifiedProtect (FP) will be $100/year and backers will get to choose whether they want to add FP. Our reward packages have discounts built in for signing-up at the outset. Are you worried about customers lying and falsely reporting stolen bikes?
No, and certainly not worried enough to stop us from building something we truly believe in. Sure, there may be a few bad actors who try to take advantage of this system and we understand that. But we also trust our customers and we will always have their back. And that’s more important to us than a few people who try to cheat the system. What’s the process for reporting stolen bikes?

How frequently do I have to maintain this bike?
Invincible is built to withstand the harshest elements, so you can ride with confidence. That said, you’ll still have to take care of this bike and bring it in for the ocassional tuneup. What happens if the tires puncture?

What happens if frame/chain rusts? Is that guaranteed? For how long?

What if I forget to lock my bike and it gets stolen?
FortifiedProtect covers your bike against theft so long as it was locked up appropriately using the Fortified lock you were provided. What if I want to pledge for more than 1?

What if I want to sell the bike down the road?

What is the package weight?

What if I already own a U-lock?

What size is the U-lock?

How hard is it to assemble the bike?
The bike will come pre-assembled. A bike tool will be included in the box. You only have to mount your seat, pedals, handlebars and front wheel. Detailed instructions will also be included. Trust us, it’s easier than you think. It takes an expert 15 minutes and a novice about 45 minutes, but we’ll be here to support you via phone, email or emoji. What’s the difference between fixed gear and single speed?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
